Seaside Waves Soap Dish

Cut from a single block of clay this soap dish is inspired by the marks the tide leaves in the sand as it flows off the beach leaving ripples behind.

These are functional art and designed to be used with solid bars of soap so they drain off and is an affordable way to support my ceramics.

Glaze is made from Wood Ash from the wood burner that helps keep the house warm in the winter time, as well as seashells found on the beach, local clay and Feldspar which I still intend on finding a local source. Blue marks are made with Cobalt

Like pebbles, each one is different in size and shape from 8cm by 5cm to 10cm by 7cm and approximately 1.5cm thick
