Walk 7: The Memorial Park

Finally a Sunny day! The last few have been wet and windy.

The ducks were loving the brighter weather. So we sat on a bench near them rather than in amongst them as someone had just placed grains.

sketching by the duck pond

Working first in watercolour as with the various plants and the pond there was a lot of colours.

Some of the participants were related to someone on the war memorial and we did take pictures as we passed.

The gates predate the park and were remodelled from the Raikes Hall Pleasure Grounds that once existed in Blackpool

And I think this participant captured the gates perfectly.

We had some amazing talks about the park and peacocks and the changing face of the town and the park.
