Walk four: Decimus Burton

The day started with drizzle and rain and we popped into Healthier Fleetwood for the start of the walk.

One of the issues with this walk is that Decimus Burton’s House was demolished about 12-13 years ago and there is now an empty plot. And it isn’t the only Decimus Burton Building left for ruin on dock street, 26 dock street which was built by him has collapsed over the last year.

We popped into the Fleetwood Museum which was designed by Decimus Burton

The walk finished by the Statue of St Peter Hesketh Fleetwood in front of the North Euston Hotel, the Hotel having been designed by Decimus Burton, as a stopping point between the train and the ferry.
