Singleton is a small village not too far from here, in fact if you are driving to Fleetwood from the motorway you will miss it entirely as it is bypassed by the main road, aside a small area by the petrol station. In fact, with the new bypass you will even skip that small part of Singleton. The fire station was built in the 19th century but was decommissioned after the Second World War. It is now a very fancy substation providing the village with electricity.
